Anyways
I feel like I ended 2014 on a good note academically and artistically. School has been super tough and time consuming this year, but I think that since I've stopped slacking off in school a lot more, I've actually done the best in school this year compared to previous years.

Art wise, I'm pretty happy for the most part. :')

2014 was a year of painting and struggling over anatomy and color theory. I've also never been this frustrated with my art before, but I think it paid off?

If there are some things I want to improve on more next year, it would probably be expressions, hands, more appealing compositions... Oh, and most of all, going through with things. I have a big problem with wanting to do amazing things and telling all these stories in my head but I have trouble staying motivated long enough to complete them. Some things I barely start on before they crash. Other times I do a TON of work before they burn (Sempiternal, Crossing, Deck of Spades). But regardless, it all ends at some point.

WELL NOT THIS YEAR HAHAHAH.

Hopefully.

This year will be the year of the Nuzlocke for me. (If you're not sure what a Nuzlocke Challenge is, check here -> fav.me/d55wd1r

I've done multiple drafts before, one of which one page was completed and posted. But these things are HUGE commitments and require hours upon hours of drawing and planning and storytelling. I feel like doing a comic like this would be the best way to successfully improve with the things I want to. After I finish all my current art trades and commissions, I probably won't do any more art for others (besides kiribans) until April or March.

Ughughughugh. I'M SORRY THIS IS SO LONG. otl. i try not to post journals like these, but with this giant adjustment happening and what's to come in 2015, i feel like i should let you guys know? idkk I won't be too offended if you unwatch me because of this since ik i have a handful of watchers watching me for specific things.

OH AND if i dare try to quit this project sometime this year, slap me plz. thx.

STEP ONE
Make a post to your DA journal. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your DA or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO
Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.

You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. and you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Basically, you pay me a minimum of 500 points, and I'll draw you something in return. It could be anything from a bust to a full body to larger pictures. The more you pay, the longer I'll spend on the piece. I promise that whatever you pay will AT LEAST give you something colored (not a sketch or lineart). Paying more could definitely result in one of my more substantial pictures. ;w;
